Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Architect with 9–12 years of hands-on technical expertise in SAP ABAP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP HANA technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong architecture, design, and development experience across modern SAP technologies including CDS Views, OData Services, AMDP, SAP UI5/Fiori, and SAP BTP.

You will lead technical solution design, guide development teams, collaborate with solution architects and business stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of enterprise SAP transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead end-to-end SAP technical solution delivery across development, enhancements, integrations, and production support.
  2. Design scalable and high-performance SAP applications using ABAP on HANA and SAP S/4HANA.
  3. Define technical architecture aligned with SAP best practices and Clean Core principles.
  4. Design, develop, and optimize Core ABAP applications and custom developments.
  5. Develop advanced SAP HANA artifacts including CDS Views, AMDP, and Code-to-Data solutions.
  6. Design and expose RESTful and OData services for SAP Fiori applications.
  7. Build and enhance SAP UI5/Fiori applications where required.
  8. Design and support enterprise integration solutions using IDOCs, APIs, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and middleware platforms.
  9. Collaborate with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Technical Leads, and Business Stakeholders to define technical solutions.
  10. Lead code reviews, technical design sessions, and architecture discussions.
  11. Optimize application performance through code tuning, SQL optimization, and SAP HANA best practices.
  12. Mentor development teams and establish technical standards across projects.
  13. Participate in estimation, sprint planning, Agile ceremonies, troubleshooting, and production support.
  14. Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, governance, and security guidelines.
  15. Drive innovation initiatives leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud-native SAP capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  1. 9–12 years of strong SAP technical development experience.
  2. Extensive hands-on expertise in SAP ABAP development.
  3. Strong experience with SAP ABAP on HANA.
  4. Proven implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA.
  5. Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver architecture.
  6. Expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP (OOPS ABAP).
  7. Hands-on experience developing:
  8. CDS Views
  9. OData Services
  10. AMDP
  11. Code-to-Data solutions
  12. Strong experience with:
  13. SAP UI5
  14. SAP Fiori
  15. IDOCs
  16. Interfaces
  17. BADIs
  18. Enhancement Framework
  19. Enhancement Switch Framework
  20. Experience working with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
  21. Strong knowledge of REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
  22. Experience delivering multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
  23. Strong expertise in SAP integrations involving middleware platforms.
  24. Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and optimization skills.
  25. Strong architectural thinking and technical problem-solving capabilities.
  26. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  27. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Functional Knowledge

Candidates should have working knowledge of business processes related to:

  1. Order Management
  2. Subscription Billing
  3. Invoicing
  4. Usage-Based Billing

Exposure to the following SAP functional modules is expected:

  1. SAP MM
  2. SAP SD
  3. SAP FI/CO

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with SAP BRIM implementations.
  2. Exposure to SAP Commerce (Hybris).
  3. Knowledge of SAP AI and Generative AI capabilities within SAP BTP.
  4. Experience with SAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
  5. Experience developing cloud-native SAP extensions.
  6. Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation within SAP landscapes.
  7. SAP certifications in any of the following:
  8. SAP S/4HANA
  9. SAP ABAP on HANA
  10. SAP BTP
