Ab Initio Technical Lead – Data Engineering (RP43)

Job Description

Knowledge Artisans (KA) is seeking a skilled and hands-on multi-disciplined team of Ab Initio engineers and quality engineers, contributing to a large, multi-year data migration and transformation program within a highly regulated environment.

What You Will Do

1. Lead a multi-disciplinary team of Ab Initio software and QA engineers working on a long-term data migration program
2. Build and sustain a positive engineering culture that is collaborative, curious, and quality-driven
3. Improve engineering quality and efficiency through better workflows, standards, and code reviews
4. Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to engineers across the team
5. Perform line management responsibilities through regular one-on-one discussions and development planning
6. Collaborate with cross-functional peers and senior leaders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
7. Work closely with Agile Delivery Leads to plan, prioritize, refine, and estimate deliverables
8. Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies, and support remediation planning
9. Balance short-term delivery goals with long-term data platform and business objectives

What We Are Looking For

1. Strong hands-on experience using Ab Initio for large-scale data processing, transformation, and movement
2. Experience working with cloud-based data storage and data warehouses such as Snowflake
3. Understanding of compliance and governance requirements in highly regulated environments
4. Proven experience leading engineering teams with diverse skill sets in data movement and transformation
5. Demonstrated ability to grow and develop engineering teams and improve delivery efficiency
6. Experience working in Agile environments delivering large-scale enterprise programs
7. Strong technical judgment to balance delivery trade-offs against business priorities

Experience That Would Be an Advantage

1. Experience using Snowflake as a primary data warehouse
2. Experience migrating data from Teradata to Snowflake
3. Experience working in a regulated financial services environment
