Job Description

Role Overview

The Transaction Services team is a multi-skilled operations team responsible for cash operations, asset servicing, trade operations, and derivatives processing.

This role requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced operations environment, enjoys team collaboration, and demonstrates a strong interest in leveraging technology and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process assigned transactions and operational events accurately within defined deadlines, ensuring appropriate follow-ups and escalations when required.
2. Prioritize workload effectively and escalate issues to senior team members when necessary.
3. Assist in resolving queries, stock reconciliation breaks, and cash reconciliation breaks, escalating unresolved items based on predefined criteria such as age, value, and client impact.
4. Take ownership of ad-hoc tasks and project assignments, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines.
5. Manage client and stakeholder queries proactively, maintaining high standards of communication quality and timeliness.
6. Adhere to departmental controls and operational procedures, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
7. Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing operational risk, saving time and cost, and improving service quality.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
9. Maintain strong working relationships with Portfolio Implementers, Dealers, operational teams, and external counterparties on day-to-day operational matters.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

1. Hands-on experience with Aladdin.
2. Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.
3. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
4. Experience working in financial operations, trade operations, or transaction services environments.
5. Ability to manage operational tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Working knowledge of Derivatives processing, including Collateral Management.
2. Experience in Trade Operations across multiple asset classes, including:
3. Equities
4. Fixed Income (including ABS/MBS)
5. FX
6. Money Markets
7. Unit Trusts
8. Repo and Term Deposits
9. Experience in Cash Operations, particularly payments processing.
10. Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards.
11. Understanding of Corporate Actions lifecycle, including:
12. Mandatory events
13. Voluntary events
14. Income processing
15. Awareness of operational risks within the transaction and asset lifecycle.
