Finance Regional Data SME

Location: On-Site - Mumbai Capacity: Full Time

About the Role

Our client, a leading global FMCG firm, is seeking a Finance Regional Data SME with extensive SAP Finance data migration experience, specifically across SAP ECC and S/4HANA. This role is crucial for managing and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of regional finance data during a significant transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the regional Finance, Controlling, and Fixed Assets data scope.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and identify deviations from the global data template.
  • Lead data profiling, mapping, cleansing, and harmonization from SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
  • Coordinate data migration, mock/trial loads, and conversion activities.
  • Validate migrated data, identify discrepancies, and drive issue/defect resolution.
  • Lead data testing, validation, and business sign-off processes.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, and documentation standards.
  • Collaborate closely with global data teams, business SMEs, data owners, and implementation partners.
  • Provide regular status updates, reporting, and stakeholder communication throughout the transformation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data migration, master data, or data governance.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FI, CO, and Fixed Assets (AA).
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, particularly FI, CO, and Fixed Assets (AA).
  • Hands-on experience in SAP data migration, data mapping, profiling, cleansing, and conversion.
  • Strong understanding of data harmonization, governance, and data quality management.
  • Experience with data validation, testing, mock/trial loads, and defect resolution.
  • Proven ability to work closely with business SMEs, data owners, global teams, and implementation partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in large-scale SAP/ERP transformation and migration projects.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of ETL/data migration tools.
  • Familiarity with cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.
  • Experience with SAP S4/HANA, SAP Transformation, Data Migration, SAP ERP, Data Governance, ERP Transformation, SAP ECC, o9 Planning, SAP FI, and Stakeholder Management.
