IT Security Monitoring - L1 Experience: 3+ Years Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: As per security operations requirement Location: [Bangalore Hybrid As Applicable] Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Security Monitoring - Level 1 (L1) professional to join our security operations team. The role is responsible for continuous monitoring of IT infrastructure, identifying potential security threats, escalating incidents, and supporting the enforcement of organizational security policies and controls. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding enterprise systems, networks, and sensitive data from cyber threats. Key Responsibilities Monitor enterprise networks, systems, and security tools for potential security breaches or suspicious activities Analyze and monitor logs from firewalls, antivirus solutions, endpoint protection platforms, and intrusion detection prevention systems (IDS IPS) Identify, investigate, and escalate security incidents as per defined incident response procedures Provide timely inputs and recommendations to internal IT teams for remediation and corrective actions Assist in the execution and continuous improvement of incident response protocols Enforce and support organization-wide IT security policies, standards, and procedures Coordinate with internal IT teams and external OEMs vendors for security actions and recommendations Support user access reviews, privilege monitoring, and asset inventory management Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, alerts, and actions taken Ensure effective communication during incident escalation and reporting Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure operations, or security monitoring Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools such as firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, and log monitoring systems Basic understanding of network security concepts, threat detection, and incident handling Experience coordinating with internal IT teams and security solution providers OEMs Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Good verbal and written communication skills for incident reporting and escalation Preferred Skills (Good to Have) Exposure to SIEM tools and security dashboards Basic understanding of compliance frameworks and security best practices ITIL or security-related certifications (e. g., Security+, CEH - optional) Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a structured security operations environment Hands-on exposure to real-world security monitoring and incident management Collaborative work culture with learning and growth opportunities.
