Junior Data Analyst (Fresher)

About the Role

Data Analysts are now among the most hired fresh graduates across every industry in India — not just tech. From fintech to e-commerce to healthcare to media, every company needs people who can turn raw data into decisions. Your first data analyst role will teach you how businesses actually use data — which metrics matter, which dashboards actually get looked at, and how data shapes product and business strategy from the inside.

What You Will Do

1. Write SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze datasets from production databases
2. Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Metabase, or Google Data Studio
3. Conduct ad-hoc analysis for product, marketing, operations, and finance teams
4. Define, track, and monitor key business metrics — DAU, MAU, retention, conversion, churn
5. Support A/B test design and result interpretation
6. Build automated reporting pipelines to replace manual Excel-based workflows
7. Present findings to non-technical stakeholders clearly and confidently

✅ Must Have

1. B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc — CS, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics — 2023, 2024, or 2025 pass-out
2. Strong, confident SQL skills — joins, aggregations, window functions, subqueries
3. Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (Pandas essential)
4. Experience building charts and dashboards in any BI tool
5. Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills — pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas
6. Attention to detail — data work is unforgiving of small errors

⭐ Nice to Have

1. Internship in a data analyst, BI, or analytics role
2. Kaggle portfolio or published data projects
3. Exposure to cloud data warehouses — BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake
4. Basic statistics — hypothesis testing, regression, and statistical significance
5. Knowledge of dbt, Airflow, or any data pipeline tools
6. Domain knowledge in a specific vertical — fintech, e-commerce, SaaS metrics, healthcare
