Junior QA / Automation Test Engineer (Fresher)

What You Will Do

1. Write and execute manual test cases for new features and releases
2. Build and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
3. Perform API testing using Postman or RestAssured
4. Participate in sprint testing, regression testing, and release validation
5. Log, track, and follow up on bugs and defects in JIRA
6. Contribute to improving test coverage, test infrastructure, and automation efficiency
7. Work closely with developers and product managers to understand features before they are built

✅ Must Have

1. B.E / B.Tech / BCA / MCA — CS, IT, or related — 2023, 2024, or 2025 pass-out
2. Working knowledge of at least one automation tool — Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium
3. Basic Python or JavaScript for writing test scripts
4. Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile testing practices
5. Ability to write detailed, clear, and reproducible bug reports
6. Basic SQL for database-level test verification

⭐ Nice to Have

1. ISTQB Foundation Level certification
2. Experience with API testing — Postman, RestAssured, or similar
3. Exposure to performance testing — JMeter or Locust
4. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines — understanding how tests fit into automated build processes
5. Mobile app testing experience — Android or iOS
6. Any internship or project with real QA work documented
