ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient L1 Infrastructure & Deployment Support Engineer to handle the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and first-level operational support of enterprise-grade banking and financial applications. The applications are typically hosted in secure, high-availability private cloud and datacenter (DC) environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for server preparation, multi-tier application deployments, proactive infrastructure monitoring, environment validation, and tight coordination across functional client teams (Application, Database, Security, Compliance, and Networking). This role involves hands-on support for Disaster Recovery (DR) setup, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) lifecycle management, live production rollouts, API integration validation, and adherence to rigorous banking regulatory and security compliance frameworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Infrastructure Deployment & Setup
• Execute full-lifecycle installation, configuration, version deployment, and maintenance across application environments. • Configure and support Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server instances across DC, DR, UAT, and production environments. • Deploy and manage middleware/web layers including Nginx, Node.js, PM2 process management, Apache, and IIS servers. • Implement and configure Reverse Proxies, SSL/TLS certificates, DNS entries, VPN tunnels, Firewall rules, and Load Balancers. • Support deployments within enterprise virtualization environments running VMware or Nutanix private clouds. • Execute server hardening tasks according to structural baseline benchmarks.• Database & Storage Support
• Perform rigorous Oracle Database connectivity validations and first-level infrastructure troubleshooting. • Coordinate operational requirements (table spaces, schemas, schema modifications) directly with DBA teams. • Validate active Oracle Listener connectivity, TNS configuration parameters, database service availability, and backup status. • Monitor storage mounting points and cross-server file-system attachments. • Maintain basic operational familiarity with PostgreSQL and MySQL database variants during migration or deployment phases.• Monitoring & Operational Health
• Proactively monitor hardware/system performance metrics including CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, and Network utilization. • Track application ecosystem uptime and internal database services via system logs and diagnostic utilities. • Perform comprehensive daily system health checks across all staging and production environments. • Manage, log, and escalate issues through standard IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing tools, coordinating closely with OEM and external vendor infrastructure teams.• Application & Integration Support
• Support deployment and technical validation of functional Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). • Validate peripheral system connectivity including Core Banking Systems (CBS), Document Management Systems (DMS), Secure FTP (SFTP), SMS/Email gateways, VPN pipelines, and peripheral security endpoints. • 跑Assist in the deployment, tracking, and verification of software patches and iterative feature releases. • Actively participate in high-availability failover testing and scheduled structural Disaster Recovery (DR) drills.• Security & Compliance
• Enforce and abide by enterprise-level information security standards appropriate for financial institutions. • Deploy and audit access controls, TLS configuration updates, log collection tools, and OS patch schedules. • Provide hands-on operational tracking to resolve Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) and security audit findings. • Ensure strict alignment with banking data security guidelines and regional regulatory compliance policies.• Documentation & Coordination
• Author, update, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), installation manuals, and deployment manifest files. • Compile daily infrastructure health status sheets, incident post-mortems, and topological environment diagrams. • Interface smoothly as a central communication nexus across Network, DBA, Security, and Application Development teams.TECHNICAL COMPETENCY PROFILE

• Prior hands-on experience deploying or supporting IT frameworks within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. • Structural exposure to enterprise Datacenter to Disaster Recovery (DC-DR) synchronous and asynchronous replication topologies. • Familiarity with complex enterprise application multi-node clustering architectures. • Basic automation capability via Shell or Bash scripting tools to parse log directories or perform system sanity tasks. • Proven resilience and focus when troubleshooting live infrastructure issues under high-pressure turnaround time frames.OPERATIONAL EXPECTATIONS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Note on Onsite Engagement: This position requires regular onsite presence at the designated client institution or datacenter facility. The engineer must maintain close communication loops with cross-functional technical teams, manage high availability metrics, and be available during off-peak maintenance slots or weekends for critical production releases.
• Education: B.Tech / BE / BCA / MCA / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or an equivalent technical branch. • Speed to Resolve: Proactive identification of faults, instant systematic triage, and targeted escalation of blockers to Level 2/3 engineering blocks. • Stability Focus: Maintaining a sharp focus on contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs), platform reliability, and system uptime parameters.
