Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in React and Node.js, specializing in secure UI development, modern authentication mechanisms, and scalable backend services.

The role focuses on building secure front-end applications, implementing authentication workflows, and developing production-grade APIs deployed on cloud and containerized environments. Experience with identity and access management (IAM) technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and Okta is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend (React)

1. Develop and maintain secure, scalable React applications
2. Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and modern authentication flows
3. Integrate OAuth 2.0 / OIDC into UI workflows
4. Build authentication flows using identity provider SDKs (e.g., Okta)
5. Ensure secure UI practices, including session handling and token storage
6. Handle authentication errors and edge cases in UI

Backend (Node.js)

1. Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js (TypeScript preferred)
2. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using modern IAM protocols
3. Manage token lifecycle (issuance, validation, refresh, revocation)
4. Modernize legacy authentication systems to OAuth 2.0 / OIDC / SAML
5. Ensure API reliability, performance, and security
6. Manage API lifecycle: versioning, documentation, error handling, and rate limiting
7. Integrate with internal and external systems securely

Cloud & DevOps

1. Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
2. Work with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
3. Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation
4. Manage secrets, configurations, and scaling strategies

Observability & Quality

1. Build monitoring and observability solutions using tools like Splunk and Datadog
2. Ensure comprehensive testing (unit, integration, system, regression)
3. Collaborate with security teams on threat modeling and compliance
4. Continuously improve code quality and system reliability

Required Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in Node.js (TypeScript preferred)
2. 5+ years of experience in React.js
3. Strong experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML
4. Hands-on experience with authentication platforms (e.g., Okta)
5. Strong understanding of session and token management (PKCE, refresh tokens, scopes)
6. Experience building and consuming REST APIs
7. Experience with databases: PostgreSQL / SQL Server and MongoDB
8. Experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes
9. Knowledge of observability tools (Splunk, Datadog)
10. Familiarity with SDLC tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Confluence)
11. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Session Management

1. Session lifecycle: creation, renewal, termination
2. Session timeout and re-authentication handling

Token Handling

1. Access vs ID vs Refresh tokens
2. Token validation and expiration strategies

SSO & Federation

1. Inbound and outbound SSO
2. Federation using SAML and OIDC

Security Best Practices

1. Protection against CSRF and XSS
2. Secure token storage strategies
3. Secure login and logout implementations

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

1. Experience with IAM migration projects (e.g., legacy to modern authentication)
2. Familiarity with identity platforms and SDK integrations
3. Experience building custom login pages and authentication UIs
