Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Lead with strong expertise in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration projects. The ideal candidate should possess deep technical knowledge of ABAP development, RICEF objects, upgrade remediation (SPAU/SPDD), IDOCs, OData services, and S/4HANA custom code adaptation. The role requires ownership of technical deliverables, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with functional consultants throughout the migration lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead SAP ABAP development activities across ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
  2. Perform custom code remediation and adaptation during ECC to S/4HANA migration.
  3. Execute SPDD, SPAU, and SPAU_ENH activities during system upgrades and conversions.
  4. Design, develop, and enhance RICEF objects including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms.
  5. Develop and support IDOC interfaces for SAP integrations.
  6. Build and expose OData services for SAP Fiori applications.
  7. Analyze, debug, optimize, and enhance ABAP programs for performance and scalability.
  8. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.
  9. Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and project stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
  10. Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, technical documentation, and production support.

Required Qualifications

  1. 7–9 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
  2. Strong implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA.
  3. Expertise in ECC to S/4HANA code adaptation and migration activities.
  4. Strong knowledge of SPDD, SPAU, SPAU_ENH, and upgrade adjustment processes.
  5. Hands-on experience with RICEF development.
  6. Experience developing and supporting IDOC interfaces.
  7. Experience creating and consuming OData services.
  8. Strong debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization skills.
  9. Ability to independently own technical deliverables.
  10. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  11. Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working on SAP S/4HANA conversion projects.
  2. Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAPUI5.
  3. Understanding of Clean Core principles.
  4. Exposure to SAP BTP Extension Suite.
  5. Experience using ATC for custom code analysis.
  6. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  7. Technical leadership or mentoring experience.
