ABOUT PLANET GANGES

Planet Ganges is a business transformation firm based in Bengaluru. For over 10 years, we have helped founders and CEOs of small and medium businesses reengineer their leadership capability, culture, and people processes to achieve 5X to 10X growth. Our work covers leadership assessment and hiring, organisational development, culture and capability building, and the development of senior professionals. We are now building the marketing function that carries this work to the market, and this role is part of that build.

THE ROLE

Your role is primarily to build brand recognition and generate leads for Planet Ganges, across both the B2B and B2C space. On brand recognition, you will manage our social media and digital marketing: publishing content on schedule, engaging the community, and keeping the content calendar and asset library in order. On lead generation, you will work on LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io and Lusha to build and maintain our prospect database, and run outreach and follow-up on it.

This is a structured learning role. You will work on live accounts from the start, with regular review and feedback from the senior team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prospect research and list building. Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io and Lusha to identify target companies and decision makers, then verify and enrich the contact data before it goes into an outreach sequence.
  2. Outreach. Run connection requests, messages, emails and follow-up sequences under supervision. Personalise where it counts and keep the cadence disciplined.
  3. Lead qualification and handover. Screen responses, capture what the prospect actually said, and hand qualified conversations to the senior team without losing context.
  4. CRM and data hygiene. Keep the database clean: deduplicate, tag, update statuses and log every touch.
  5. Outreach reporting. Track and report lists built, contacts reached, connect rate, reply rate and meetings booked.
  6. Social media management. Schedule and publish content consistently across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, and keep the content calendar and asset library current.
  7. Content and creatives. Write first-cut copy for posts, carousels and reels from approved briefs, and build simple creatives in Canva within our brand guidelines.
  8. Community management. Reply to comments and messages, engage with our target audience's posts, and note what is getting traction.
  9. Events and webinars. Support promotion with reminder broadcasts on email and WhatsApp, attendee lists and followup.
  10. Content reporting. A weekly view of reach, engagement, follower growth and click-throughs, along with your own reading of why the numbers moved.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Research instinct. You enjoy digging for the right contact and do not give up at the second dead end. This matters more than any tool.
  2. Prospecting tools. Exposure to LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Lusha or similar platforms is an advantage. If you have not used them, we will train you, but you must be quick with new software.
  3. Comfort with data. Spreadsheets, list cleaning and simple reporting are a daily part of this job.
  4. AI content generation and curation. You use AI tools to draft and curate content, and you know where their output needs to be corrected.
  5. Written English. Clean and plain. You will be writing to senior professionals, so clarity matters more than flourish.
  6. A real understanding of how LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube work for brands, not just as a user, along with working knowledge of Canva or the ability to get there quickly.
  7. Graduate or final-year student in any discipline. Marketing, mass communication, journalism or design backgrounds help, but we have seen good marketers come from everywhere.
  8. Freshers are welcome. Prior internships, personal projects, a page you have run or a portfolio of your own writing all count.

ATTITUDES WE LOOK FOR

  1. Learning ability. You pick things up fast and go and find the answer before asking for it.
  2. Agility. Priorities here shift with client and campaign cycles. You adjust without losing the thread.
  3. Proactivity. You spot what needs doing and start it, rather than waiting for the brief.
  4. Openness to feedback. Work here gets reviewed closely. You take the correction and improve the next draft.
  5. Emotional resilience. Campaigns fall flat, leads go cold, plans get scrapped. You stay steady and go again.

WHY THIS INTERNSHIP IS WORTH YOUR TIME

  1. You will learn prospecting and outreach on the tools senior marketers and sales teams actually use.
  2. You will handle live brand handles from week one, not sandboxed practice work.
  3. You will see how a consulting firm actually goes to market, which is a rare thing to learn early in a marketing career.
  4. You will work directly with the senior team, and your work will be reviewed by them.
  5. There is a defined path to a full-time role, and it is decided on performance rather than tenure.

THE BASICS

  1. Location and duration: Bengaluru, on-site. 6 months, full-time.
  2. Stipend: Rs 15,000 per month during the 6-month internship. On conversion to a full-time role, Rs 25,000 per month. Conversion is strictly based on performance.
  3. Positions open: Three.
  4. Start date: Immediately.
