About the Role

Diagnostic Radiographers are in acute shortage across the UK NHS and Gulf hospital networks. Indian-trained radiographers with BMRIT or DMRIT qualifications and solid clinical experience in X-ray, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy are well-positioned for international registration and rapid deployment. The UK's HCPC registration pathway for radiographers is well-established, and Gulf regulatory bodies have clear equivalency routes for Indian qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures — X-Ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and Mammography (as per scope of practice)
  2. Position patients correctly and optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
  3. Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment — CT scanners, MRI machines, digital X-ray systems
  4. Maintain strict radiation protection and safety protocols in line with IR(ME)R (UK) or local regulations
  5. Manage emergency imaging requests — trauma, acute chest, A&E cases
  6. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports
  7. Liaise with radiologists, surgeons, and clinical teams on imaging results and patient preparation
  8. Ensure equipment maintenance, QA procedures, and safe medical radiation practices

✅ Must Have

  1. B.Sc in Medical Imaging Technology (BMRIT) or Diploma in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology (DMRIT) from a recognized institution
  2. Minimum 2–3 years of post-qualification clinical imaging experience
  3. Proficiency in X-Ray, CT, and at least one other modality (MRI, Ultrasound, or Fluoroscopy)
  4. IELTS 7.0+ or OET B for UK | IELTS 6.0–6.5 for Middle East
  5. Understanding of radiation protection principles and patient dose optimization
  6. Registered with the relevant State/National allied health council

⭐ Nice to Have

  1. HCPC registration (UK) — in progress or complete (Shortage Occupation status)
  2. MRI or CT specialization — single-most valuable differentiator in UK and Gulf
  3. DHA, HAAD, SCFHS, or QCHP radiography registration or eligibility
  4. Mammography certification or Interventional Radiology assistance experience
  5. Experience in paediatric imaging or emergency/trauma imaging
  6. Nuclear Medicine or PET-CT experience
