About the Role
Diagnostic Radiographers are in acute shortage across the UK NHS and Gulf hospital networks. Indian-trained radiographers with BMRIT or DMRIT qualifications and solid clinical experience in X-ray, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy are well-positioned for international registration and rapid deployment. The UK's HCPC registration pathway for radiographers is well-established, and Gulf regulatory bodies have clear equivalency routes for Indian qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures — X-Ray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, and Mammography (as per scope of practice)
- Position patients correctly and optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment — CT scanners, MRI machines, digital X-ray systems
- Maintain strict radiation protection and safety protocols in line with IR(ME)R (UK) or local regulations
- Manage emergency imaging requests — trauma, acute chest, A&E cases
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports
- Liaise with radiologists, surgeons, and clinical teams on imaging results and patient preparation
- Ensure equipment maintenance, QA procedures, and safe medical radiation practices
✅ Must Have
- B.Sc in Medical Imaging Technology (BMRIT) or Diploma in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology (DMRIT) from a recognized institution
- Minimum 2–3 years of post-qualification clinical imaging experience
- Proficiency in X-Ray, CT, and at least one other modality (MRI, Ultrasound, or Fluoroscopy)
- IELTS 7.0+ or OET B for UK | IELTS 6.0–6.5 for Middle East
- Understanding of radiation protection principles and patient dose optimization
- Registered with the relevant State/National allied health council
⭐ Nice to Have
- HCPC registration (UK) — in progress or complete (Shortage Occupation status)
- MRI or CT specialization — single-most valuable differentiator in UK and Gulf
- DHA, HAAD, SCFHS, or QCHP radiography registration or eligibility
- Mammography certification or Interventional Radiology assistance experience
- Experience in paediatric imaging or emergency/trauma imaging
- Nuclear Medicine or PET-CT experience
