SAP CO Consultant / Lead Consultant

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP CO Consultant / Lead Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Product Costing, Cost Object Controlling, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). The ideal candidate should have strong implementation experience and be capable of independently handling business requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, integration, and post-go-live support. The role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing costing processes, month-end activities, management accounting, profitability analysis, and integration with SAP PP, MM, FI, and other business processes.

Key Responsibilities Lead and execute SAP CO implementation and enhancement projects. Gather and analyze business requirements from finance, controlling, manufacturing, and business stakeholders. Translate business requirements into SAP CO solution designs and configurations. Configure and support Cost Element Accounting. Configure and support Cost Center Accounting, including: Cost Center Planning Allocations Assessment Cycles Distribution Cycles Activity Planning Actual Activity Price Calculation Lead Product Costing processes including: Standard Cost Estimates Material Costing Cost Component Structures MTS processes MTO processes Cost Object Controlling Production Order Costing Support month-end closing activities including: Order Revaluation WIP Calculation Variance Calculation Settlement Configure and support Internal Orders, including real and statistical internal orders. Work on Material Ledger, including: Multiple Valuations Actual Costing Transfer Pricing Configure and support Accounting-Based CO-PA. Work on COGS split, variance split, profitability reporting, and CO-PA Report Painter. Design profitability reporting based on business requirements. Ensure integration with SAP FI, MM, PP, SD, and other relevant modules. Prepare functional specifications for required developments and reports. Coordinate with ABAP and technical teams for enhancements, reports, interfaces, BAdIs, user exits, and other developments. Prepare configuration documents, functional specifications, test scripts, process documentation, and training materials. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution. Support data migration, cutover, go-live, and stabilization activities. Provide post-go-live support and resolve production issues. Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation. Provide functional leadership and knowledge transfer to project teams. Interact with business stakeholders and senior management to understand financial and controlling requirements.

Required Experience Strong hands-on experience in SAP CO. Strong expertise in Product Costing / Material Costing. Strong expertise in Cost Object Controlling. Strong hands-on experience in CO-PA. Proven experience in SAP CO implementation projects. Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation is preferred. Strong integration knowledge with FI, MM, PP, and SD. Strong understanding of manufacturing costing and month-end processes. Ability to work directly with business stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to prepare functional specifications and work effectively with technical teams. S/4HANA Experience Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling will be an added advantage. Exposure to S/4HANA simplifications, Universal Journal, Material Ledger, Fiori applications, and modern SAP reporting capabilities will be preferred.

Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline. SAP certification is an added advantage.
