SAP SAC Planning Consultant

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP SAC Planning Consultant with 6–8 years of overall SAP experience and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), particularly SAC Planning. The ideal candidate should have successfully participated in at least 2 full end-to-end project lifecycles, from blueprint and requirements gathering through design, development, testing, deployment, and Go-Live. The consultant will be responsible for understanding business requirements, designing scalable SAC planning and analytics solutions, preparing functional/technical documentation, configuring and developing SAC components, and collaborating closely with onsite teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities Understand business and client requirements and translate them into effective SAP SAC Planning solutions. Analyze requirements, recommend appropriate technical/functional solutions, and implement SAC components accordingly. Participate in the complete implementation lifecycle from Blueprint/Requirement Gathering through Go-Live and Post-Go-Live Support. Design and develop SAC Planning and Analytics models, stories, dashboards, and planning applications. Develop and maintain Technical Design Documents (TDDs), functional specifications, technical specifications, and Unit Test documents. Configure and implement advanced SAC Planning capabilities including Data Actions, Allocations, Distributions, Spreading, and planning functions. Develop What-If Analysis, Value Driver Trees, simulations, forecasting, trend analysis, and predictive planning solutions. Build SAC stories using Smart Insights and Smart Discovery. Configure and support Import and Live Connections with SAP BW, BPC, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, HANA, and other source systems. Work with actuals, budgets, forecasts, and plans, including scenarios combining actual and planned data. Perform unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and support UAT activities. Provide user support and resolve functional/technical issues related to SAC Planning solutions. Work with SAP S/4HANA data sources and have exposure to ABAP CDS Views. Participate in requirement workshops, solution design discussions, client meetings, and status calls. Regularly interact with onsite teams and client stakeholders to understand requirements and provide project updates. Provide daily/weekly status updates and proactively communicate project risks, dependencies, and issues. Follow ASAP or other structured SAP implementation methodologies. Maintain strong and professional relationships with onsite teams, business stakeholders, and clients. Support knowledge transfer, documentation, deployment, and post-Go-Live stabilization activities.

Must-Have Skills 6–8 years of overall SAP experience. Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) experience. Minimum 2 full end-to-end SAP project lifecycles. Strong experience in SAC Planning and Analytics. Experience creating Analytic Models and Planning Models. Strong SAC Story Building experience. Hands-on experience with Smart Insights and Smart Discovery. Experience with What-If Analysis and Value Driver Tree simulations. Strong experience with advanced planning functions including Data Actions, Allocations, Distributions, and Spreading. Experience in forecasting using actuals + plan data, predictive forecasting, and trend analysis. Experience setting up Import and Live Connections to SAP BW, BPC, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, and other data sources. 2–3 years of experience with planning/forecasting tools. 3–5 years of experience with relevant SAP technologies such as SAP BPC, SAP BW, SAP HANA, and SAP Financial Modules. Experience working with S/4HANA ABAP CDS Views. Strong understanding of implementation lifecycle, including Blueprint, Development, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, Go-Live, and Support. Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills. Ability to work effectively with onsite teams and global stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills Functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO. Familiarity with SAP MM business processes. Familiarity with SAP SD business processes. Experience integrating SAC with broader SAP S/4HANA landscapes. Experience in global SAP implementations or rollouts. SAP SAC certification is an added advantage. Exposure to Agile or other structured delivery methodologies.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline. SAP/SAC certification is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will be a hands-on SAP SAC Planning Consultant who combines strong SAC Planning expertise with a solid SAP background in BPC, BW, HANA, S/4HANA, and Financial Modules. Candidates who have delivered at least two complete SAP project lifecycles and can independently handle requirements, solution design, development, testing, client interaction, and Go-Live support will be strongly preferred.
