Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and SAP S/4HANA. The consultant will play a key role in implementing and supporting SAP MDG solutions, particularly in Business Partner, Material, Customer & Supplier domains. The ideal candidate will have a blend of functional, configuration, and technical understanding, including workflow, BRF+, data modelling, and related integration capabilities.

Primary Skills

1. SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) configuration & implementation
2. SAP S/4HANA proficiency & understanding of ERP fundamentals
3. Master data domains: Business Partner, Material, Customer, Supplier
4. MDG Change Request configurations, BRF+ workflows & validations
5. MDG UI, search capabilities, and MDGFPM configurations
6. Data modelling, data quality, and replication mechanisms
7. Hands-on experience extending data models, entities, and custom attributes
8. Minimum 2 full lifecycle implementations in relevant MDG domains

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead MDG solution design by engaging with business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, and requirements.
2. Configure and customize SAP MDG solutions, including workflows, BRF+ rules, derivations, validations, UI enhancements, and search capabilities.
3. Support domain data replication, data loading, distribution, and integration with SAP and non-SAP systems.
4. Prepare technical and functional documentation, and train key users and end users on MDG features.
5. Identify risks/issues and work with teams to propose and implement corrective actions.
6. Support solution standardization, effort estimation, and mentoring junior team members.
7. Ensure smooth transition of MDG deliverables to application support/maintenance teams.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputed university.
2. 6 – 8 years of SAP experience with strong functional MDG expertise and exposure to SAP S/4HANA environments.
3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
4. Client-facing experience with ability to translate business requirements into configuration solutions.
5. Flexible with work timings, including weekends/holidays if required.

Good to Have

1. SAP S/4HANA ABAP skills or debugging capabilities.
2. JLPT N2 / N3 certification (Japanese language) or other language skills.
3. Prior exposure to earlier versions of MDG and familiarity with UI5/Fiori for MDG.
