Software Development Intern (Full Stack / Backend / Frontend)

About the Role

This is where your code finally does something real. As a Software Development Intern at a product company, startup, or tech team, you will work alongside senior engineers on live features, real codebases, and actual users. The best software internships in India are not about making tea or writing PPTs — they are about writing production code, learning code review culture, and understanding what it takes to build things that scale. If you have been building side projects, contributing to open source, or solving problems on LeetCode, this role is your entry point.

What You Will Work On

1. Build and ship features and bug fixes on live web or mobile products under the guidance of senior engineers
2. Work with modern tech stacks — full stack (React/Node, Django/Vue, Spring Boot, etc.) or specialize in frontend or backend
3. Write clean, testable, well-documented code that passes review
4. Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives — real Agile team experience
5. Learn to use Git, JIRA, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) as used in production
6. Contribute to API design, database schema work, or UI component libraries depending on team needs
7. Debug, test, and deploy your own code — not someone else's

✅ Must Have

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed B.E / B.Tech (CS, IT, ECE) / BCA / MCA / B.Sc CS — 2025 or 2026 pass-out
2. Solid understanding of at least one programming language — Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, or Go
3. Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic web concepts (for frontend/full stack roles)
4. Understanding of data structures and algorithms — ability to solve basic LeetCode Easy/Medium problems
5. Basic knowledge of databases — SQL or MongoDB
6. A GitHub profile, personal project, or deployed app — this matters more than your GPA

⭐ Nice to Have

1. Experience with a modern framework — React, Next.js, Django, FastAPI, Spring Boot, Flutter
2. Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP fundamentals
3. Exposure to Git version control and collaborative development
4. Any open source contributions — even small PRs count
5. Participation in hackathons — shows you can build under pressure
6. Familiarity with Linux/terminal commands
7. Any personal project with real users (even 10 users counts)
