About the Role

Wellness has moved from hotel amenity to genuine destination driver. India is uniquely positioned as a global wellness tourism hub — and luxury hotels are investing significantly in world-class spa and wellness programs to attract discerning travellers. We are sourcing Spa & Wellness Directors who combine deep wellness expertise with strong commercial and operational skills to build programs that both heal and generate revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, operate, and continuously elevate the property's spa and wellness program — treatments menu, therapist team, product lines, and wellness philosophy
  2. Drive spa revenue — retail sales, treatment revenue, membership programs, and wellness packages
  3. Recruit, train, and lead a team of therapists, yoga instructors, fitness coaches, and wellness practitioners
  4. Manage retail operations — luxury spa product lines, sourcing, and sales training
  5. Develop wellness programming and retreats — yoga, Ayurveda, sound healing, sleep programs, detox retreats
  6. Build partnerships with wellness brands, product houses, and practitioners
  7. Ensure all spa operations meet the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and guest experience
  8. Manage the spa P&L — cost control, scheduling efficiency, and revenue optimization

✅ Must Have

  1. 12–16 years of spa experience with at least 3–5 years as Spa Director or Spa Manager at a luxury property
  2. Deep expertise in spa treatments, wellness modalities, and luxury spa operations
  3. Strong commercial acumen — experience managing spa P&L and driving retail revenue
  4. Experience leading and training a multi-disciplinary wellness team
  5. International spa brand experience (ESPA, Six Senses, Banyan Tree Spa, Mandara, Elemis, L'Occitane, etc.)
  6. Excellent guest-facing communication and a genuine passion for wellness

⭐ Nice to Have

  1. Formal training in Ayurveda, yoga, or traditional Indian wellness systems — a major differentiator
  2. Pre-opening experience for hotel spas
  3. Experience designing wellness retreat programs of 3–21 days
  4. Qualification in Naturopathy, Nutrition, or Integrative Wellness
  5. Experience working with celebrity or VVIP wellness clients
  6. International spa experience — Maldives, Thailand, Bali, UAE
  7. Connections with high-profile wellness influencers and practitioners
