Specialist I - Software Engineering - AS400

Job Title: iSeries / AS400 Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced iSeries / AS400 Developer to support application development, solutions support, and reverse engineering projects for a leading US retail client. The candidate should have strong programming skills on the IBM iSeries platform and the ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain applications on IBM iSeries / AS400
2. Write programs using RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, CLP/CLLE
3. Analyze and modify SQL queries and embedded SQL
4. Perform code reviews, debugging, and unit testing
5. Work with business analysts, QA teams, and developers to deliver solutions
6. Provide Level-2 production support and incident resolution
7. Document business rules, program flows, and technical designs

Required Skills:

1. Strong experience in IBM iSeries / AS400
2. Programming in RPG, RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, CLP
3. Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts
4. Experience with Display files, Subfiles, Printer files
5. Knowledge of MQ / Message Queue

Good to Have:

1. Experience with Turnover, X-Analysis, ROBOT Scheduler
2. Knowledge of Retail domain or Lawson ERP
