Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking applicants on behalf of a technology compnay based in calicut, Hilite Park,  a highly motivated and technically proficient Team Leader with a strong background in Python development to join our engineering team in Calicut. In this role, you will lead a team of developers, overseeing the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions. You will be responsible for mentoring junior team members, ensuring code quality, and bridging the gap between technical requirements and business objectives. This position is ideal for a developer with 2+ years of experience who is ready to step into a leadership capacity and drive project success. Proficiency in Malayalam is preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a team of Python developers to ensure high-quality code delivery.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Python code for complex software applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define project requirements and timelines.
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve overall application performance.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from concept to deployment.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and promote knowledge sharing among team members.

Requirements (Must-Have Skills)

• 2+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Proficiency in Python frameworks including Django.
• Proficiency in Python frameworks including Flask.
• Proficiency in Python frameworks including FastAPI.
• Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in relational databases including PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in relational databases including MySQL.
• Experience with ORM libraries.
• Proficiency in version control systems, specifically Git.
• Experience with asynchronous programming.
• Experience with multi-threading in Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Malayalam.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks including PyTest.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks including Unittest.
• Experience with frontend technologies including HTML5.
• Experience with frontend technologies including CSS3.
