Job Description - Zonal Manager (ZM)
About the Role / Position Summary
We are seeking, for a leading Kerala-based Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), an organization with over 25+ years of experience in delivering financial services across India, our organization specializes in retail and SME lending solutions, including gold loans, business loans, vehicle loans, and microfinance services, a highly motivated and experienced Zonal Manager to lead the operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff across regional level, ensuring business expectations are met, and maintaining productivity standards.
1. Conducting Monthly / Weekly business meetings at Regional level.
2. Ensure staff norms in branches and initiate deputation of staff after consultation with
AMs.
3. Meeting business expectations in all products & maintaining productivity standards
as per instructions.
4. Developing & managing a highly motivated team across the region.
5. Liaison with HR for backend support – representing the entire region.
6. Grievances of branch staff should be addressed and resolved with support from HO.
7. Coordinating with Sales Support for incentive-related queries.
8. R&D in executing the best modern strategy planning.
9. Structuring better business plans comparatively with other NBFCs.
10. Attending alert phone calls from intrusion alarm hub and taking action immediately.
11. Random checking to be conducted in all system and BRS entries of branches under
control.
12. Developing new ideas for better and comfortable customer service.
13. Reviewing audit reports and initiating steps for rectifications, if needed.
14. Coordination with AMs in the management of branches under control.
15. Visiting newly identified branch locations and interacting with new building owners.
16. Obtaining floor plans and infrastructure plans of new branches and providing
suggestions to HO.
17. Extending support to branches in case of necessity to meet high-profiled investors.
18. Joint custodian of RO safe contents and its management.
19. Ensuring presence at branches where any untoward incident happens.
20. Ensuring attendance of all nominated staff in training programs conducted at regions.
21. Be part of recruitment of staff for the region, including identification of vacant
positions.
22. Attending to customers’ grievances/issues in case RM intervention is required.
23. Take initiatives for liaison work with any Government Departments or judicial
authorities at RO locations, if needed.
24. Initiate cost control measures in the region and issue instructions to branches.
25. First custodian of duplicate keys of branches in the region.
26. Conduct monthly visits to branches and verify the registers/records (business and
statutory) and take stock of gold, cash & other documents at branches.
27. Verify HO circulars and conduct random checks to assess awareness among BM &
staff.
28. Ensuring transactions are carried out at branches as per process and instructions.
29. Recommending branch proposals sent to HO for approval.
30. Ensure BRS is transmitted by branches as per issued guidelines.
31. Collating data of bank and cash balances from branches on a daily basis.
32. Be present at branch openings and ensure security measures are in place.
33. Initiate cost control measures across the region and issue necessary instructions to
branches.
34. Conduct preliminary enquiry and report for fraud, embezzlement, and
misappropriation cases, and recommend disciplinary action on merits.
35. Managing and controlling training halls at ROs.
36. Strong coordination with AMs or BDMs in managing operational affairs of the
region.
