Hykon India Ltd is a leading manufacturer and distributor of power electronics, solar systems, lithium batteries, hybrid inverters, E-Auto solutions, and energy storage products, headquartered at KINFRA Park, Kakkanad, Kochi. We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our field service team. In this role, you will work alongside Service Engineers to support installation projects and perform field service calls, ensuring our customers receive high-quality technical support for our energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the installation of inverters, batteries, UPS systems, and solar panels according to site-specific instructions.
- Attend to basic breakdown calls, including troubleshooting wiring, connections, fuses, and conducting battery health checks.
- Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) visits and cleaning services for Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) customers.
- Manage the transport of necessary tools and spare parts to job sites.
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts usage and service activities within the company CRM/ERP system.
- Report site-specific technical issues to the Service Engineer or Manager in a timely manner.
- Ensure all service calls, site visits, and inventory movements are logged in the CRM/ERP system on the same day.
- Participate in monthly performance reviews based on defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements (Must-Have Skills)
- ITI certification in Electrician or Electronics Mechanic.
- Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the electronics industry (specifically solar, UPS, inverters, or batteries).
- Proficiency in Malayalam.
- Proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Kerala.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license.
- Ownership of a two-wheeler for field travel.
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Working knowledge of Tamil.
- Working knowledge of Kannada.
- Experience with CRM or ERP software for field service management.
- Prior experience in field-based customer service or technical support roles.
